"The latest "Hallelujah" shame (and mockery of that once magical evening) is the excruciating moment in which Cohen's original version of the song scores a sex scene in Zack Snyder's recent "Watchmen," which plays out like a bad joke told by a sad clown. Worse, you have to sit there while the sad clown painfully explains the punch line to you when you don't laugh. I also have to mention the completely unearned "The Sounds of Silence" travesty -- Snyder, man, you have to earn Simon & Garfunkel."

I just returned from a kick ass Me First and the Gimme Gimmes show at DNA lounge.  DNA, as always, has sound quality problems.  It is not because I am nearing the big 3-0 that I say that it was too loud.  I love MFAGG, but constant ear pain is not the right way to spend an evening.  The event was poorly planned, but even so, "Science Fiction, Double Feature" made up for it all. 

I am currently downloading much MFAGG stuff.

The Groovie Ghoulies were supposed to play, but apparently they just broke up. Sometime between them booking the show and tonight, they became no more. I'm sorry to be the harbinger of bad news.
